Freeze time with cryotherapy
The treatment involves placing the entire body in a cold chamber with temperatures ranging from -85° C to -95° C for between 2 and 4 minutes. Short-term cooling encourages a large number of positive reactions in the body due to the increased circulatory response of the blood and lymph flow.
Cold as therapy
A short, high-intensity treatment that activates the body's natural resources.
For whom it is indicated
Those who practice physical activity use it to reduce muscle inflammation and speed up recovery time; those suffering from osteoarticular disorders - arthrosis, arthritis, tendonitis, lumbago - choose it for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Exposure to cold also acts on the autonomic nervous system, promoting deep relaxation that is reflected on the sleep quality and on the stress management. On the metabolic level, stimulates circulation and the production of endorphins, with a tonic effect on overall energy.
On the skin front, controlled cold promotes the collagen synthesis, improves skin tone and counteracts cellulite. More generally, regular sessions can contribute to strengthen the body's natural immune defences.
Practical information
A cryotherapy session involves exposure to extreme cold temperatures for a short duration
(not exceeding five minutes per session). Cold therapy is best followed by 10 to 15 minutes of light exercise and five minutes of stretching.
