Is it necessary to have a doctor's referral?
You do not need a doctor's referral for the Testing Centre services, as the Terme di Saturnia collection point is a private centre, and the cost of the various analyses remains the same regardless of whether or not you have a doctor's referral.
The Terme di Saturnia Testing Centre, through its affiliation with the Terme di Chianciano analysis centre, is an accredited facility, so it guarantees results that are valid for clinical purposes and for all intended uses; however, it is not possible to provide exemption from the cost of examinations for those who are entitled to exemption from the co-pay fee at the public facilities of the reference LHA.

It is always possible to deduct the costs for examinations carried out at our Testing Centre, or for visits to our medical centre, or for thermal and health treatments. Costs are deductible by traceable payment method, but it is always necessary to present the health card and have the data entered in order to obtain a valid tax document.
Is fasting necessary for every laboratory test?
Fasting may not be necessary for some examinations. However, it is advisable to always perform the examinations on an empty stomach, in case further examinations are necessary, on the advice of our doctors or for completeness of investigation.
