R&D is at the heart of Terme di Saturnia's integrated health and wellness programmes.<\/p>

Underlying this is a careful process of organic research and development that integrates the therapeutic properties of thermal water with the most advanced technological and scientific systems.\u00a0<\/p>

In addition to the in-house team of qualified professionals, the R&D centre also relies on prestigious collaborations with international research institutes and Italian universities.<\/p>

    (IA) mapping of relevant clinical databases available for prevention, risk group stratification and treatment outcome of psoriasis patients: curative properties water of Saturnia in different conditions, integration of clinical data into a single platform to feed AI algorithms.<\/p>

    (Telemedicine) telemedicine platform in the field of spa medicine integrated with the Italcares platform, financed by the Ministry of Tourism on the Fondo Unico Nazionale Turismo (FUNT) 2022 for the valorisation, promotion and integrated communication of the offer of cures and treatments of health facilities and spa centres starting from certain areas of excellence (dermatology, orthopaedics, respiratory diseases and rehabilitation), through the design, testing and implementation of a single point of interlocution and activation of an online platform of interaction with the user\/groups of users indicating specific solutions also in combination with experiential services, in close connection with the Digital Hub of Tourism (TDH), so as to maximise the use of Italcares and on the other hand implementing the TDH contents, with the health and curative services of Terme di Saturnia;\u00a0<\/p>

    (One Health prevention) to develop new metrics and models to measure the health impact of the primary prevention model of the health system and its benefits, going into detail to analyse the current NHS model with a focus on improving the health of citizens and the quality of care and health services through better planning of services and investments in technology and its infrastructure (health policies) and the acquisition, choice and introduction of more innovative and effective technologies in the health context (managerial choices) (cf. expected impact of Horizon Europe n. 3, 4); development and use by health professionals of effective, sustainable and inclusive technologies thanks to informed and evidence-based choices (cf. expected impact of Horizon Europe n. 5); strengthening of the innovativeness and competitiveness of thermal facilities in the health scenario through innovation models suited to the Italian economic-productive and cultural fabric, and the identification of institutional, managerial and economic levers to enhance the value (cf. expected impact of Horizon Europe n. 6) of the territory in which they operate and of the country system. To document the value of an economic model based on primary prevention and its advantage over the current NHS and private model.<\/p>
